Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Engaged or not!

Here comes yet another twist in Chote Kapoor and Miss Padukone. Recently Deepika was quoted that she had "happily" accepted Ranbir’s proposal back in November. It was also reported that Deepika claimed that she will be "Mrs Kapoor and leading lady of Bollywood" in next five years.

However, their family members are not aware of any such engagement and marriage plans and think that Deepika was misquoted. "We are not even aware of this development and nobody has told us anything. That’s because it is just not true!" said Prakash Padukone. Ranbir’s sister Riddhima claimed Ranbir was shocked to hear this news. She said "These are all stupid rumours. I don’t know where they get such bizarre news from! Deepika seems to have been misquoted and nothing of the sort has happened. Ranbir is out of India for a film shoot and he was so surprised when he heard about this. In fact, he was shocked! Both of them have a long way to go and it is just the beginning of their careers!" However, she did not rule out possibility of Ranbir and Deepika’s marriage in future by saying "Marriage to bahut dur ki baat hai".

Neetu Singh, Ranbir’s mother said that she does not anymore react to such rumors "...because I have gone through this myself and with my husband. I have been connected to some hero or the other."

Misquoted or not, Deepika and Ranbir have a good career ahead and are not likely to marry, soon. Right now they and Bollywood fans are looking forward to their forthcoming movie Bachna Ae Haseeno.

The most talked about couple of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone has become hot property. Not only is the couple showing their cute chemistry in the Pepsi commercial, they will also share the big screen for the first time in Siddharth Anand’s forthcoming film Bachna Ae Haseeno. Apart from that the couple is being considered for various projects as well.

One of these projects happens to be a film called Mera Jahaan to be produced under the banner of Cinema Paradiso and directed by Vikram Singh. Vikram Singh is the same person who was supposed to direct a multi-starrer called Raaste that was announced at the IIFA awards, a couple of years back. Raaste had an impressive cast of Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Aishwarya Rai and Sikander Kher. However the film didn’t took off after the announcement and was termed as shelved. But sources close to the director inform that Raaste hasn’t been shelved but has just been kept on the backburner. Currently Vikram Singh is working on another project titled Mera Jahaan.

As per trade circles more than the Saif-Bebo duo, there’s lot of demand for this new young couple of Ranbir-Deepika. As per industry insiders, Vikram Singh is in talks with the couple for the film Mera Jahaan . Apparently Ranbir, who is shooting for Bachna Ae Haseeno has liked the script but is yet to sign the dotted lines.

If everything goes well, Deepika Padukone will be seen opposite Ranbir in Mera Jahan which essentially is a romantic film. Needless to say, the duo is inseparable hence working together is a smart solution for this couple.
