This is a high quality image of an F-15 Eagle, taken right after take-off. F-15s have long been an air to air aircraft, but not long ago new technologies began to be implemented on the aircraft which have enabled it to operate as an air to ground aircraft. These include laser targeting systems and forward-looking infrared systems.

F-117 Nighthawk, HD 1495*930

Output of a very secret project, F-117 had long been away from the public eye until it was revealed in 1988. The Nighthawk is the first aircraft equipped with stealth. F-117 has an airframe that reflects absorbs the radar signals and reflects only a little. This aircraft is scheduled to be carried away from the service and replaced by more sophisticated F-22 Raptor.

Harrier is best known as a short landing and take-off aircraft. Suited perfectly to carrier operations, Harriers are one of most advanced aircrafts in service.
In this shot, a Harrier is taking off, using its fans directed below. We can see the heat coming from that fans in the belly of the aircraft. These fans later takes its normal position as the aircraft is ready for normal flight.

Here is an HD shot of A-10 Thunderbolt. A-10 is particularly strong against ground targets like tanks etc...A-10 is commonly known with its large nose gun, thick armor and high survivability.
